In curtesy of our friends at M we have the opportunity to invite you to an exclusive session with Woody Zuill.

Woody Zuill has been programming computers for 35+ years, and has almost 20 years of experience as an Extreme Programmer, and 15+ years as an Agile Coach. He is a pioneer of the Mob Programming approach to teamwork in software development, and is one of the founders of the "#NoEstimates" discussion. He believes we can always find a way to improve our abilities, skills, workplace, industry, and world by paying attention and rapidly taking countless, continuous tiny steps in the direction of “better”. The accumulation of these tiny steps leads to an emergence of a great workplace, and many wonderful things.

Many things can hamper the effectiveness of our teams: Too many meetings, technical debt, bugs, multi-tasking, and so on. When we see these problems our first reaction is often to say "We need to fix this stuff". We want things to be better, but just as often our fix introduces its own problem and it's not unusual to see today's "solution" become tomorrow's problem. Wouldn't it be nice if these problems would simply "fade away"?

Turn Up The Good is a concept expressed nicely by Kent Beck in the first edition of the book "Extreme Programming Explained": “When I first articulated XP, I had the mental image of knobs on a control board. Each knob was a practice that from experience I knew worked well. I would turn all the knobs up to 10 and see what happened. ” - Kent Beck

The basic idea: Pay attention to what is working nicely and experiment with ways to make it even better, or "Turn It Up”.

M is a global mobility service developed by Volvo Car Mobility AB. Offering the freedom to move that cars have long symbolized, M focuses on metro and urban consumers who do not need or want to own a car themselves. As a new alternative to car ownership, M will provide on-demand, personal access to cars and services—setting a new standard for consumer experience and tech-enabled mobility. Launching in spring of 2019, M will be available in select markets in the US and Sweden.
